Kathleen has been a resident at Regis Como for 7.5 years now, and when ask “what does Home mean to you,” she responded with a touching and sincere perspective.

“A nice warm fire like my mother used to have and when the house smells fresh and clean. Feeling safe and secure with smiling faces around you, being one big family. I love having the puppy Daisy around she makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside, I love going out to Bunnings to buy things for our garden and then watching the flowers grow.”

Kathleen grew up in Yorkshire, England before moving to Perth with her family at eleven years of age. Now she has a big family of her own, with 4 children, 15 grandchildren and 52 great grandchildren. Growing up, Kathleen had a Jack Russel called Jack whom she adored, and now loves spending time with three-month-old puppy Daisy, when the Regis Como receptionist, Lisa, brings her in.

Kathleen is grateful to still be doing her artwork as she is an avid painter and loves growing her favourite flowers, white and purple daisies. She also loves spending time with her best friend Val and is always wanting to make people smile and laugh. Kathleen has a big heart and is a big part of making Regis Como the warm and friendly Home it is today.
