Meet Ancy, Work Health and Safety Representative at Regis Greenmount. Starting with Regis in 2020 as an Assistant in Nursing, Ancy has worked a number of roles, including as a Registered Nurse, before transitioning onto her current position this year.

Ancy’s appeal to the aged care sector was driven by her belief that the elderly are in their “most important period of their lives and deserve to be supported and cared for.”

A typical day for Ancy is busy and deals with the various needs of residents and families. As the Work Health and Safety Representative, Ancy’s work is essential in assessing and managing health and safety concerns, and contributing to the overall care Regis Greenmount provides. This includes “identifying and reporting potential health and safety risks, hazard prevention, training on various work safety awareness, as well as conducting and participating in work health and safety meetings, activities, and training.”

The team at Regis Greenmount play a huge part in making Ancy’s work all the more rewarding. She loves that they all work together towards the common goal of providing the best possible care to all the residents.

Maintaining good mental health is paramount when working in aged care. Ancy prioritises her mental health “by being optimistic.” She ensures to focus on the positive outlook, even in the tougher situations. Ancy also loves “listening to music and spending time with her son,” which always brings her bundles of joy.

Kindness to Ancy means “being human… listening to our conscience and keeping moral values in any situation to help others.”

In honour of World Mental Health Day, the team at Regis Greenmount will be conducting games and quizzes to ensure everyone, residents and employees alike, are all feeling happy and supported.

We thank Ancy for her hard work and dedication to enriching the lives of our residents at Regis Greenmount.
