Easter may have come and gone, but the message of kindness and connection continues at Regis Brighton, where residents recently took part in a heartfelt initiative, creating and sharing handmade Easter cards with their loved ones.
Inspired by the idea of “paying it forward,” General Manager Olga led the initiative as a way for residents to express gratitude to the families who regularly visit and provide ongoing support. Residents were encouraged to write personalised Easter cards to thank those who show dedication, love, and help maintain meaningful social connections. The cards were either posted or handed out in person.
For many, these cards were more than just seasonal greetings, they were moments of joy. “It was such a beautiful moment,” said Dementia Liaison Nirmal. “Many families were surprised and truly touched. It brought a lot of smiles and joy to everyone.”
Resident Louis shared “It was a wonderful surprise to receive an Easter card, especially being handmade.” Fellow resident Bruce added “Making Easter cards for the families was special, welcoming, and beautifully done.”
Initiatives like this highlight the deep relationships nurtured within the home each day. By encouraging residents to maintain strong emotional connections with their loved ones, these activities play a meaningful role in supporting overall wellbeing.
