Regis Care Partner Update – Home Care and CHSP

9 April 2020

Regis Home Care continues to support our community by delivering essential services

Thank you for your continued understanding and support as we manage this rapidly changing risk to our community.

One Regis aged care employee has tested positive for COVID-19 while on leave and poses no risk to other Regis employees, clients or residents.

New Clients

Regis continues to allow client admissions, across all our business units including CHSP programmes, Home Care and In home respite. Please note our staff are:

  • conducting risk assessments for all new admissions
  • implementing appropriate infection control protocol
  • using social distancing practices
  • screening every client at every visit
  • wearing appropriate PPE where required
  • reducing some non-essential services at the direction of clients.

Care consultations and Home Tour Process

We will screen all new clients requesting a home care consultation over the phone and proceed with request if they meet the requirement.

For residential aged care, instead of our usual tour process, we are offering phone conversations and virtual tours for everyone entering into our Homes.

For further information

If you would like to discuss the above please contact:

  • The Home Care Manager directly
  • Our national admissions support centre (for advice or for your local Regis Home Care business or aged care home’s contact details) at advice@regis.com.au or call 1300 998 100

We appreciate your support during this challenging time for the community.

Health and Socialisation

During this time it is important that we do not allow physical distancing to become social isolation. We are keeping in touch with all our CHSP and Home Clients regularly. Our teams are assessing client’s needs and implementing individual plans for health and socialisation while the physical distancing requirements are in place.

Regis continues to look at ways to keep residents and clients better connected with loved ones and health professionals during this unusual time.

Around the place

Cairns Home Care and Day Therapy Centre client- Murray

One of our Physio Assistants has developed a sheet of home exercises for our DTC client Murray. Murray thought he would send us photos of him in ‘action’ lifting cans of food and doing his crunches!

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support.
