Regis Homes across Western Australia recently held their final inter-home event for the year – a Masquerade Ball as voted by residents.

The ballroom walls glittered with gold, silver and feathers. Streamers were hung across the ceiling and sparkles covered the tables. Residents and employees wore their most elegant dresses, suits and masks and came together in the spirit of community and connection.

There was plenty of friendly competition with two awards up for grabs. Though the competition was close for the Best Mocktail, Regis Bunbury’s ‘Bunbury Berry Brew’ claimed the top spot, with a delightful concoction of ginger beer, kombucha, lemonade and frozen berries.

The Best Mask award went to Regis Greenmount, for their beautiful masks that captured the spirit of the masquerade theme.

Across the day residents and employees enjoyed two incredible dance performances, including one by a dancer who will represent Australia for the visually impaired in the next two weeks.

Valerie, a resident from Regis Greenmount, said it was a great event. “The whole day was fantastic – beautifully organised and so much fun.”

Regis Woodlands resident Meredith added, “I was very impressed with the turnout. The decorations and dancing were gorgeous, and the atmosphere was great. We all had a wonderful time.”

Events like the Masquerade Ball offer more than just a chance to dress up, they encourage connection and creativity. The celebration was filled with laughter, friendly competition and shared experiences that will be remembered long after the last dance.
