Students from Wellers Hill Primary School choir recently stopped into Regis Holland Park to perform for the residents. With their teacher on piano, the students sung enthusiastically and confidently, creating an energetic and joyful atmosphere.

The heartwarming performance was truly appreciated by residents. After the show, the students stuck around for a chat and a snack. Residents shared stories about their lives and their own experiences at primary school.

Resident Maria shared, “It’s so good to have the little ones around us. They are true blessings, and it’s always nice to speak with them.”

Adding to these positive sentiments, Resident Robert warmly reflected, “This is amazing, so many students. I remember when I used to be this young, and of course, being cheeky and playful.”

Resident Ian proudly showed the students the intricate craft models he creates. From carboard boats to houses, the children were amazed by the detail and creativity in his work. Ian also generously gifted one of his handcrafted pieces to the school.

It was a wonderful visit filled with laughter, music and conversation. The memorable experience for both the students and our residents strengthened community bonds and reminded all of the joy that intergenerational connections bring.
