In the lead up to Mother’s Day, residents across Regis Sunraysia and Regis Ontario in regional Victoria took part in a photoshoot celebrating the lives they have lived and the roles they continue to hold within their families.

Taking the glamour shots brought the women together for an afternoon of style and laughs with portraits created to be gifted to families to mark the occasion. With hair, makeup and a touch of sparkle, residents took part in a way they felt best represented them.

Lifestyle Coordinator Lisa said the experience was about creating a moment where residents could feel great about themselves and have a little fun. “Everyone deserves to feel seen and beautiful at any age, and to remind each other that their beauty and spirit still shine,” she said.

For many of the women involved, Mother’s Day carries meaning. Across both homes are mothers, grandmothers and great grandmothers, each with their own history and experiences that continue to shape who they are today.

Among those who took part was Lorraine from Regis Sunraysia, a mother and grandmother, who welcomed the opportunity to step into something new. “It was lovely to glam up and model in the glamour shoot,” she said. “I was excited to do this as it’s something I had never experienced before.”

The finished photographs will be shared with residents and their families, providing a lasting way to connect on Mother’s Day.

Experiences like this are thoughtfully planned by Lifestyle teams across Regis homes, who work closely with residents to create moments that reflect who they are and what matters to them. This approach is part of a broader focus on recognising each person beyond their care needs, ensuring they continue to feel seen and connected to the lives they have built.
