“It has been years since I felt the sand between my toes, it was really beautiful and I’m looking forward to the next trip.” These are the words of Elwyn after her and five walking group friends visited the local beach.
For the last couple of weeks, our walking groups at Regis Sandgate Lucinda have headed down to Sandgate esplanade for sea air, sandy toes and sunshine. Our residents asked to do beach walks as part of their fitness goals and now Arthur Davis Park is one of their favourite spots to visit.
Many of our residents grew up beside the seaside and still have a special connection every time they visit the beach. They love hearing the seagulls squark, the waves crash and the feeling of the wind brush through their hair.
