Regis Greenbank Queensland is embracing National Gardening Week to celebrate the simple joys of gardening. As well as making residents feel at home within the residence, Regis Greenbank ensures its residents stay active with hobbies and interests that will keep them engaged.

For Draza and Tahu, residents at the Home, gardening provides them with the perfect opportunity to stay active whilst doing tasks to help and benefit others. These passionate garden enthusiasts are always tending to the fruits and vegetables in the gardens at the Home.

Draza grew cherry tomatoes whilst Tahu planted lettuce heads back in June. With their fruits of labour producing abundant vegetables, they never looked back and continued to cultivate the garden.

This time, the gardening duo has planted carrots, snow peas and cauliflower for their next harvest which the whole Home is now looking forward to.

Regis Greenbank is an aged care home situated in the quiet leafy Brisbane suburb of Greenbank. The Home features amenities such as a café, residents’ library, hairdressing salon and recreation room with a pool table. The Home also specialises in secure dementia care and support, with the focus on meeting the needs of the residents, supported by a variety of lifestyle programs and activities.
