Meet Anne Galimberti who has been able to receive the care and support she needs whilst her loved ones are away at Regis Inala Lodge. After being recommended to this Home by a nurse at a local hospital, as well from members of the community, Anne knew Regis Inala Lodge was where she wanted to temporarily move into.

Anne has found many aspects of her stay comforting and welcoming.

“I really enjoyed the food and the different options during mealtimes. I met some wonderful people during my stay and the lifestyle activities were excellent.”

Making new friendships, even during a short stay in an aged care residence, can help people connect with their local community.

“I’ve made many friends here and found it very interesting hearing their life stories,” shares Anne.

The lifestyle activities have also encouraged Anne to remain social and they kept her busy and engaged throughout her stay. She has tried many activities and loved having a variety of things to do. Some of Anne’s favourite activities have included an adventurous walking group, creative colouring workshop, and a memorable concert at the Home.

When asked what she liked most about her stay at Regis Inala Lodge, Anne expressed that aside from the lifestyle activities and the beautiful surroundings adjacent to the renowned Blackburn Lake Sanctuary, she appreciated the “cheery, caring and happy team.”

“I am receiving very good care, the team are wonderful and very caring… I would definitely come back again if needed,” says Anne.
