Regis and CPSM

Regis was founded 30 years ago and offers a diverse range of care options including residential aged care, home care, retirement living, day therapy and day respite. Regis is one of the largest providers of aged care in Australia with 68 Homes, 9,000 employees and cares for more than 7,000 residents and clients each year.

Integration is the transition that will occur from now until end of May 2024. It is an opportunity for Regis to learn more about CPSM and vice-versa. Throughout the integration period there will be changes to some systems and processes as we move to include CPSM in our day-to-day operations.

There will be no interruption to the normal pay cycle.

No changes to compensation are expected. We understand continuity of benefits is a key concern and we will be working together to communicate with you throughout the process to ensure a smooth transition.

There will be no change to your pay or other terms and conditions of employment on 1 December.

There will be no change to your annual leave. You can continue with your approved annual leave as planned.

Yes, your original start date with CPSM (or its predecessors) is recognised by Regis. This includes on your new Regis name badges – if you have completed any of the service milestones for recognition, the relevant coloured stripe will be applied.

The normal process for leave will continue for CPSM employees, and in most cases the approver of your leave remains unchanged.

There are no plans for any employee changes in the short term and all employees (excluding Directors) who are employed at the time of transition will still be employees of CPSM. There are some minor reporting line changes that will occur for CPSM employees who reported into the CPSM directors.

Yes, there is no change to the availablilty of work for casual employees.

Yes, we will make information available about this in the coming weeks. You may require an additional casual employment agreement from Regis.

Yes, Regis has two Enterprise Agreements in Queensland. One covers Support Services (Lifestyle, Housekeeping, Catering etc) and the other covers Nursing roles (RN, AIN etc). When your employment is transferred across to Regis you will become covered by the agreement relevant to your role. Your CPSM hourly rate will be maintained unless a higher rate applies under the EA, in which case you will receive the higher rate.

• Service milestones – recognition at various intervals, starting from 5 years, including coloured name badges and gift vouchers.
• National Care Awards – a special time to celebrate the contribution of all Regis people, and award some who have been nominated for achieving excellence.
• NEW Employee Assistance Program – launching in February 2024 with expanded offerings, including: health and wellbeing support; and legal and financial advice.
• Career Development Opportunities – we encourage our employees to apply for open internal vacancies, that suit their interests, skills and experience.
• Employee Referral Program – refer a friend to an RN, AIN or CCM role and receive a referral bonus of $800 once they complete their 6-month probationary period.
• Employee Discounts – including Medibank, Goodlife Fitness, JB Hi-Fi, ANZ, Commonwealth Bank, Avis and Virgin Australia.
• Novated Lease options – for the purchase of a new or near new vehicle – a portion of the payments can be made from pre-tax income

We do not expect any immediate changes to reporting relationships other than Kelli, Larissa and Kim, who previously reported to a CPSM Director. From 1 December 2023 they now report to a Regis leader: Kelli and Larissa report to Gregg Funston (Executive General Manager Operations – QLD, NSW & NT), and Kim reports to Buddhika Jayasinghe (Management Accounting and Reporting Manager).

No, all employees will continue with the same reporting line. The integration support team members will be on-site on a regular basis as key activities are occurring, however they are not there to manage the day-to-day operations of the homes.

Generally, you should expect business as usual across the transition period. For most of you, your day-to-day activities will not change. For those who will be involved in transition planning activities, we ask that you provide Regis with your full support and cooperation.

Yes, we do engage Enrolled Nurses in our structure. The number of roles varies by home, dependent on the size and resident needs.

• Training will occur in the first week
• ‘Go Live’ will occur at the start of the second week
• On-site support and guidance will be provided.

RegiNET is the Regis company intranet, available to all employees. A range of key updates, resources and quick links can be found on RegiNET to support all employees. RegiNET will be made available in all CPSM homes from mid-December.

In the main, no title changes are planned across the transition period. Any future title changes will be communicated as soon as it is known.

Each resident has received a formal notification. If they express concern, please direct to the General Manager in the first instance, or they can contact cpsmconcierge@regis.com.au.

You can continue to access Uprise and you are also able to access Regis’ EAP services. You can contact AccessEAP on 1800 818 728.

Regis has become your employer, but you will remain in the CPSM employing entity. There will be no changes to your terms and conditions.

Not at this stage, as you will remain employed by CPSM.

The way you engage with residents will remain largely unchanged at this stage.

There will be regular communications provided throughout the integration period to inform you about what is happening and when. At any time if you have questions you can speak to your home manager or contact the CPSM concierge.

Regis and CPSM have communicated the changes to residents and families. If they have any queries you can direct them to the CPSM concierge for support at cpsmconcierge@regis.com.au.

Regis has pre-planned upgrades to the current payroll, HRIS and rostering systems in early 2024. A decision about any transition to the Regis employing entity will be reviewed as part of these upgrades.

Continuity of Carer involves allocating the same carers to the same group of residents as often as possible. The increased frequency of working with the same group of residents will allow our carers to provide more holistic care. Our model supports our care teams to notice changes in our residents’ health, wellbeing, and care needs, which builds strong, trusting care relationships with residents, their families, and representatives.

Regis is firmly committed to paying employees correctly and has established internal procedures to ensure pay accuracy. This includes verification procedures, new systems and upgrades to existing systems as well as engagement with external experts where required.

Regis will not transition CPSM off its current time and attendance and payroll systems, or change any of CPSMs pay impacting processes, until we are certain we have a robust plan to deliver a seamless transition.
