Woodlands Street Library

Regis Woodlands has recently set up their own Street Library. This incredible project was done with the assistance and guidance of one of our long time staff members Bojan, who works as a Food Service Assistant and is also a qualified carpenter by trade.

Bojan came in on his own time to do several different activity sessions with the residents to assemble and paint the libraries which was thoroughly enjoyed by all our eager residents.
The team made two libraries in total. One for the front of the Woodlands home (accessible to children walking home from school), and one for the local school whom we regularly engage with – the Holy Rosary Primary School – as our residents have formed a very good connection with these children following our dancing activity earlier this year.
Bojan assisted our residents with painting – and we even chose the Regis colours to match our Regis flags and signage.

Our Street Library was installed safely out the front and signage placed to explain the purpose of the library. A poster was put onsite to our residents advising them that this wonderful new addition was now accessible for them to obtain books from.

The Woodlands team received a lot of generous donations from the City of Stirling Library who donated several boxes of books to get this started. We have seen so many residents, family, children and staff enjoy this library and we are very blessed to have Bojan as part of the team to create this wonderful addition.

You can find our Library registered on the Street Library website.
