Regis Care Partner Update: COVID-19 prevention and support

Regis’ highest priority is the safety and wellbeing of our residents and employees. We value you as our partners in care and thank you for your ongoing support.

Update on our stringent access controls in our residential aged care homes

We are introducing measured adjustments to our stringent access controls in our residential aged care homes.

We are able to do this because thankfully Australia has entered a new phase as our new case diagnosis rate reaches a controlled low. We believe we are now in a position to carefully expand visitor access within the strict Federal and State requirements.

We will now welcome other visitors between 9.30am-11.30am and 1.30pm-4.30pm each day in addition to the current exceptions for compassionate reasons. Reception at each home will manage strict booking times and we will limit the number of visitors in the home at any one time. There will be a thorough screening process before entry.

We will continue our other risk minimisation strategies throughout our homes. Connections through technology will remain available for residents and families.

We review the COVID-19 situation and risks daily and are ready to make rapid changes if needed. I encourage you to read our full statement on our website at www.regis.com.au/covid-19

COVIDSafe

I have downloaded the COVIDSafe app from the Government and I have encouraged residents, clients, staff and families to do the same. This app is an important tool to stop spread of the virus and will help our public health officials to let us know if there is an increased risk in a particular area.

Thank you again for your understanding and support. As always, our employees have continued to display extraordinary commitment and compassion to our residents and families. We remain deeply grateful for their professionalism.
